The five-year THES Project was initiated in 2022 by USAID and Michigan State University in Collaboration with the Ministry of Education in Malawi, upon observing some technical as well as professional and administrative challenges facing the higher education institutions.

DMI – St. John the Baptist University (DMISJBU) is a multi-disciplinary higher educational and research academia, accredited by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) Malawi and is one among the well-known best private universities in Malawi.

About Project

DMISJBU GC 3.3:  Increased research knowledge and skills of faculty, staff and students.

  THES is being implemented by prime Michigan State University (MSU) in partnership with World Learning. The project aims to strengthen the capacity of the higher education system in Malawi. It specifically seeks to leverage the human capital of the country’s youth, in line with goals set out in the Malawi 2063 national development plan. THES is supporting Malawian stakeholders to identify and implement innovative solutions to challenges facing their Higher Education System.
